Movement is My Power Place
From a young age, movement became my sanctuary and strength. Winning a gymnastics scholarship propelled me into a lifelong, immersive study of dance and functional movement. My early experience dancing at The College of Wooster modern dance company introduced me to African dance and planted the vital seeds that saved my young adult life.
This passion led me to pursue a rich, diverse study of therapeutic movement practices, including Somatics, Continuum, Authentic Movement, Feldenkrais, Contemplative Dance, and various forms of yoga such as Tibetan Heart Yoga, Anusara Yoga, and Primal Vinyasa. These modalities—dance therapy, yoga, and massage—were integral to healing my own tailbone fracture, PTSD, and systemic fibromyalgia. This deep, personal understanding of movement’s transformative capacity is what I bring to every class and session..

Nature is My Thru-Line: A Journey of Transformation
My connection to healing began in childhood, playing in the “Fairy Forest” and observing the natural world—a fascination that foreshadowed my life’s purpose: to help transform poisons, whether they manifest as bodily toxins, mental thoughts, or habitual patterns, into medicine.
My path to becoming a Master Massage Artist was rooted in deep personal necessity. After initial bodywork training, unresolved trauma from sexual violation was uncovered, leading to systemic pain and fibromyalgia. Recognizing that I was not yet clear enough to facilitate healing for others, I stepped back from hands-on work. Instead, I focused intensely on self-healing, utilizing Alchemical Healing energy work, self-inquiry, dance therapy, and food consciousness to process and clear this deep sadness.
This profound self-work taught me the key to efficacy: the continual process of clearing and making new pathways, ensuring I never transferred my own trauma story to a client. This commitment—the dedication to empty myself completely in order to truly hold space for another’s healing—is the foundation of my practice. Today, I bring two decades of clinical service to the Healing Arts, channeling that lived experience into powerful, transformative care.
